John Stewart: "Another song recorded by the Kingston Trio with Dave Guard. An old song from the American Revolution and from what I hear based on a true story. Both this song and Molly and Tenbrooks were songs that I wanted to merge my years with the Kingston Trio and my Rock and Roll roots. Both Dave Guard and Nick Reynolds from the Trio sang on these two songs. My banjo part on this song is just about Dave Guard's banjo part, a homage to him and his brilliance."
