Here I go again
Back to that feelin'
Of no worthy cause
To carry me on
'Cause my heart's been skippin'
Like a flat rock on water
And with each ripple
The farther I'm gone

Now some say I'm sinkin'
To the muddy bottom
But somehow I'm sailin'
To shores of white sand

Now I feel it rainin'
And the crosswinds a changin'
Lowerin' my chances
To make it alone
But should you get lonesome
And your child needs a mother
Just look for my traces
On shores of white sand

Now some say I'm sinkin'
To the muddy bottom
But somehow I'm sailin'
To shores of white sand
Now some say I'm sinkin'
To the muddy bottom
But somehow I'm sailin'
To shores of white sand

Shores of White Sand
Review written by Carter Swart, November 13th, 2010

Like Lightfoot's creations, this thoughtful, poetic song is done to perfection on this Brooks' album as are all the songs. Artist seems to have been overlooked by the Nashville crowd.
