When I'm tired and lonely and holding back the tears
I think about the only creature that appears

Never before has a girl been adored more than
Lucinda, Lucinda
The minute I saw her my chin hit the floor, oh my
Lucinda, Lucinda

When I'm on a zero; a cloud above my head
Raining tears of sorrow, love's not dead
Nothing could change what I feel for this strange creature
Lucinda, Lucinda

Never before has a girl been adored more than
Lucinda, Lucinda
She holds the sun, on the tip of her tongue, that's my
Lucinda, Lucinda

Lucinda keeps haunting me
She keeps haunting me
Lucinda keeps haunting me

Have just named my newly adopted stray cat after this song - which was much played on Radio 1 & Luxembourg when I was 16 but never quite made the Top 50. A truly great song with a lovely chorus!
