Speech:
Pure fun and enjoyment was had throughout the processes of recording, overdubs, mixing, mastering, conferring with Max, doubts and moments of faith, (or is that the other way around)?
I would like to make special mention of the core Musicians and my good friends who helped me make this record: Max Schindler for his friendship, confidence and support. John Saylor for his talent, dedication & generosity. George, Lynn, Kevin & Skillet Bassett (all courtesy of Delbert McClinton), and Vince Santoro (courtesy of little Vinnie), my dear friend Stephen Bruton for his wisdom, help & encouragement. (My deepest gratitude and brotherly love to all of you guys). If not for this special cast of characters, this recording would still just be an idea waiting to happen.
Quite a bit of the performance (including six of the Lead Vocals) are presented here live as it went to tape (yes we used tape!) with everybody playing together. No fixes or pitch correcting gizmos were employed. If you listen carefully you'll hear a few clams & squeaky chairs in there. I hope you will forgive the few imperfections as I thought it would be best to go ahead and let art imitate life. I am proud of this record and I hope you enjoy it. Thank you for buying it...by all means tell a friend.
God Bless You.
