Mastered at Capitol Tower Mastering
All of these tracks were recorded direct to 2-track DAT. On each performance, the musicians were playing together in one room. With the exception of track 12 (Brendan Perry - The Captive Heart), no overdubs were used.
All of the songs were performed for KCRW's Morning Becomes Eclectic, and most of them were recorded live on the air. The way you hear them is the way they were heard on the air, including wrong notes, closing doors, creaking chairs and sneezing.
"and then Theo the engineer kneeling explaining something about breathing in waves that made him crossover then back the night before and the girl assistant was real emotional about something I didn't know what, a man's back listening intensely in the control room, I noticed fingerprints on the piano... then I said dang there's been some good music played in this room, fell into a pocket and began to play"
- Jane Siberry
