Fleetwood Mac at their best Review written by Anonymous, June 14th, 2005 Duel sided DVD, Side A - 5.1 dolby digital and Side B - lpcm stereo ...PLAY SIDE A for best sound
Bad point;
Christine smile, it's all good
In "Landslide" Buckinghams finger tip bump his accoustic guitar, on my 7.1 system it makes a thump, thump, thump sound as he plays that drives me nuts.
GOOD point;
Again in The Dance, Stevie Nicks and Chiristine (x-McVie) the names speak for themselves, both have voices that have refined with age, both get an A+. John McVie still the shy one, hiding in the shadows, speaks when spoken to, If his momma could see him now.
You can see there is still tention between band members. And Stevie Nicks realy lets Buckingham have it in "Silver Springs", but they end "Landslide" with a hug, both in tears.
Mick Fleetwood and Lindsey Buckingham have became two of the best musicians of our life times. Fleetwood is a giant that plays drums with unbelievable ease. Buckingham there are no words to define his skill in banjo like playing as lead guitarist. I know of no other who comes even close to accomplishing the skill as has Lindsey Buckingham. Buckingham's " I'm So Afraid" brings out the very best of Fleetwood and Buckingham, after all the years they have played the song and in so many ways, most not so good, They finally hit it on the head here. The Dance, DVD (sideA) has it all great picture and sound like no other Music DVD i have seen to date. If you have The Dance on CD you are probably thinking, what is she talking about. The CD and DVD are not the same, even the song line up is differant, I have both.
Filmed in conjunction with MTV over three nights at Warner Bros. sound stage in Burbank, the band performs titles such as "Gold Dust Woman,""Over My Head." "Dreams," and "You Make Loving Fun" as well as such favorites as "Rhiannon," "Say You Love Me," "Gypsy", "Landslide," and "Silver Springs", and a unbeliveable performance of "TUSK" and "Don't Stop (Thinking About Tomorrow)," when joined in with by the U.S.C. Trojan Marching Band.
If you like Fleetwood Mac, you will not be dissapointed with this DVD.
