The Dance (5/5.05/5.05/5.05/5.05/5.0)
Erm. . .Wow!
Review written by Rutles from Somewhere in England, August 16th, 2004

I was a Fleetwood Mac fan who never experienced them 'new' and it was thought that there was as much chance of new stuff from them as there was from the Beatles. The Beatles released a new song, and then came The Dance. In truth, I am a Lindsey fan and 'discovered' him when he did Out of the Cradle. It has always amazed me that no one ever talks about his guitar playing in the tones of absolute awe that I do. Without a doubt Lindsey is one of my favourite guitarists and imagine my excitment when I bought a new Fleetwood Mac album with my favourite line-up ( sorry Pete, I love you but. . ).

There are some jaw dropping guitar solos from Lindsey, one of the most impressive being I'm So Afraid (I love the guy who yells out 'Go Lindsey'). As usual he floors me with his finger picking and Landslide is an absolute treasure. Stevie is brilliant with Silver Springs hitting that other-worldly spot that only she can reach. It is also good to see some new stuff.

Brilliant performances from everyone. If you like Fleetwood Mac you simply cannot live without this album. Close your eyes, put them on the stage and go to your own personal concert because these guys really know how to lead the dance.

Law and Order (3/5.03/5.03/5.03/5.03/5.0)
Fun but not to be compared to other solo stuff

I can't help it but this album makes me laugh. It is not one of his best and, I think, is nowhere close to the genius of Go Insane or Out of the Cradle, but it is fun.

It does show the strange and more eccentric side of Lindsey and does have some good songs on it. Bwana, and Mary Lee Jones, for example, do have the same free feeling as Holiday Road.

You can easily see how he was feeling after Fleetwood Mac with the almost heartbreaking It Was I and Trouble.

This album does have some gems, but for the most part it is just plain funny. Lindsey had a lot better stuff out there, but this one might just find a soft spot in your heart.
