I was not looking, but I turned around and there you were, smiling at me, not a care in the world
In a moment of madness, well I let myself dream
But the moment you touched my hand, it made me understand..

Open up your heart, let me inside, I've been waiting for this moment all of my life
Every time that you hold me it feels so right, you're the one I've been looking for all, of my life

Lying next to you, I can almost catch my breath, and when you call out to baby, you know I will be there
But the moment you touched my hand baby, the minute you held my hand

Open up your heart, let me inside, I've been waiting for this moment all of my life
Every time that you hold me it feels so right, you're the one I've been looking for all, of my life

Spaniel Songs Ltd. Deborah Bonham: 'I wrote this song whilst I was in Los Angeles with Jason, singing some vocals on his album WHEN YOU SEE THE SUN. We did this great duet together with a producer and songwriter called Marty Fredriksen who had written for such people as Aerosmith. One afternoon he played me this song and asked me to write a vocal melody and some lyrics. I was staying at the home of Mr. Phil Carson, one time head of Atlantic Records UK. Phil had been very kind in letting me use the apartment and was helping me as much as possible with my music. The apartment had a beautiful balcony that looked down the whole of La Cienega in West Hollywood. The road was a mass of lights flickering in the night, and as I lit candles on the balcony and opened a bottle of wine I thought, "this is the perfect atmosphere..." I picked up a pen and wrote Open Up Your Heart. However, the best was yet to come. My very dear friend John Dominic (who plays harmonica on this album) is a close friend of Mick Fleetwood, and asked him if he would be interested in playing on the track. To my amazement he agreed - Mick Fleetwood, one of my all time heroes playing on my album! He walked into the studio and immediately my mouth and my brain didn't connect. I knew what I wanted to say, but what came out was a high pitch giggle followed by a shriek - and this, with extremely red cheeks! I soon settled down though, and as this tall gentle man began to play I reminised how my brother John, had got me into Fleetwood Mac, and how we used to play RUMOURS and TUSK, especially the track Tusk. "Listen to the drums on this" he would say, and yet, here was 'the man' in the studio with me. I remember musing that it couldn't get much better, as I smiled to myself, and hoped John was watching. I would treasure that moment for the rest of my life.....'
