Can you hear me calling
Out your name
You know that I'm falling
And I don't know what to say

I'll speak a little louder
I'll even shout
You know that I'm pround
And I can't get the words out

Oh I...
I want to be with you everywhere
Oh I...
I want to be with you everywhere
(Wanna be with you everywhere)

Something's happening
Happening to me
My friends say I'm acting peculiarly

C'mon baby
We better make a start
You better make it soon
Before you break my heart

Oh I...
I want to be with you everywhere
Oh I...
I want to be with you everywhere
(Wanna be with you everywhere)

Can you hear me calling
Out your name
You know that I'm falling
And I don't know what to say

Come along baby
We better make a start
You better make it soon
Before you break my heart

Oh I...
I want to be with you everywhere
Oh I...
I want to be with you everywhere
Oh I...
I want to be with you everywhere
Oh I...
I want to be with you everywhere
(Wanna be with you everywhere)

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Everywhere, the fourth single from Tango in the Night, is definitely one of Fleetwood Mac's signature tunes. Its strong, melodious harmonies make the song both unique and uplifting. It's one of Christine's best love songs written for a special man in her life, possibly her husband now, Eddie Quintela.

Can you hear me calling
Out your name
You know that I'm falling
And I don't know what to say
I'll speak a little louder
I'll even shout
You know that I'm pround
And I can't get the words out

Oh I...
I want to be with you everywhere
Oh I...
I want to be with you everywhere
(Wanna be with you everywhere)

Christine is in love with this man that she even seems to get a little nervous and clumsy around him. She wants to be recognized and loved by him in return that she'll go to any limits. She's fallen head over heels for him and wants to show him off; she's proud that she may actually have him --- she wants to be with him everywhere.

Something's happening
Happening to me
My friends say I'm acting peculiarly
C'mon baby
We better make a start
You better make it soon
Before you break my heart

Oh I...
I want to be with you everywhere
Oh I...
I want to be with you everywhere
(Wanna be with you everywhere)

Christine is starting to show signs that she's in love. This emotion is taking over her and her friends are beginning to think she is acting strange. She proceeds to say that she wants this man to love her in return and that he better hurry, because if he takes any longer, it's going to hurt her emotionally.

Can you hear me calling
Out your name
You know that I'm falling
And I don't know what to say
Come along baby
We better make a start
You better make it soon
Before you break my heart

Oh I...
I want to be with you everywhere
Oh I...
I want to be with you everywhere
Oh I...
I want to be with you everywhere
Oh I...
I want to be with you everywhere
(Wanna be with you everywhere)

Once again, Christine is making the effort to start a relationship with him. And she goes on to say that there isn't much time left. Notice that she says, "We better make a start", but continues with, "You better make it soon", showing that it takes two people to make a relationship (or Tango!), and that she is already trying for it to work out, but now it's up to him --- he has to make a start for the relationship soon before it's too late and it ends up hurting Christine. She desperately hopes it will work out because she wants to be around him constantly and with him everywhere.

(The interpretations to these lyrics were compiled through discussions on the message boards of the Penguin, The Ledge. It is entirely possible that the artists had something completely different in mind.)

this version from the album The Dance.

As transcribed by Josh Shank and converted to HTML by Marty Adelson

Lindsey Buckingham starts the song out by picking an E chord very fast in a sweeping manner.
I can\\\\\\\'t play nearly fast enough to figure that part out, so I'll start with the riff he
plays when the drums kick in. This riff is played throughout the verse.
I\\\\\\\'ll label it in different parts to let you know when to play what part when.

       part I part II
e|--------0-------------0-|------0-------------|
B|------0-----2---4---0---|----0------2---4---0|
G|----1-----2---4----1----|--1------2---4---1--|
D|--2-----2---------------|2------2------------|
A|------------------------|--------------------|
E|------------------------|--------------------|

 part III part IV
|-------0---------------|------------------0-|
|-----0-------2---4---5-|-------2---0----0---|
|---1-------2---4---6---|-----2---4----1-----|
|-2-------2-------------|---2----------------|
|-----------------------|--------------------|
|-----------------------|--------------------|

When the drums kick in, play parts I-IV two times, then, to the verse

Verse 1:
(part I)Can you hear me calling
(part II)Out your name
(part III)You know that I'm falling
(part IV)And I don't know what to say

(part I)I'll speak a little louder
(part II)I'll even shout
(part III)You know that I'm proud
(part IV)And I can't get the words out

Oh I...[B]I...[C#m]I...[A]I...[B]
[C#m]I want to [B]be with you [A]everywhere
Oh I...[B]I...[C#m]I...[A]I...[B]
[C#m]I want to [B]be with you [A]everywhere
(Wanna be with you everywhere)

(parts I-IV)

Verse 2:
(part I)Something's happening
(part II)Happening to me
(part III)My friends say I'm acting (part IV)peculiarly

(part I)C'mon baby
(part II)We better make a start
(part III)You better make it soon
(part IV)Before you break my heart

(Chorus, then strum the E chord fast again)

Verse 3:
(part I)Can you hear me calling
(part II)Out your name
(part III)You know that I'm falling
(part IV)And I don't know what to say

(part I)Come along baby
(part II)We better make a start
(part III)You better make it soon
(part IV)Before you break my heart

(Chorus, then strum the E chord fast again until end of song)
