Special Thanks:
There is no greater thrill for an artist in this business than to be able to do an album where the only criteria is great songs. I was allowed to do that because of the forsight and passion for good music of Jim Mazza. Whatever this album becomes, he is directly responsible for. Part of his forsight included selecting Brent Maher as Producer and First Engineer and Mills Logan and Paul Skaife as Second Engineers, all of whom have worked with me before and do wonderful work. In selecting the songs, we reached out to some old and new friends, and unquestionably the best songwriters in the world, to add the textures that make this album so unique. My special thanks go to Michael McDonald, Kim Carnes, The Katinas, Bekka Bramlette (sic), Billy Burnette, All-4-One and Tareva Henderson. Thanks also to Jan Greenfield, Brent’s Production Coordinator. This album could not have been done without, in my opinion, some of Nashville’s finest musicians. Nobody does it better than this group. Thanks for the experience.
