Effective moody, atmospheric concert piece (4/5.04/5.04/5.04/5.04/5.0)
Review written by John Fitzgerald from Peabody, MA, USA, June 1st, 2005

This disc comes in a strange, almost DVD style packaging and just as surprising musical style too. Stevie performs "At last" with an obvious affection for the original Etta James recording which makes for an entertaining listen while the powerful horn section makes this one of the loudest on the record. Many will be surprised to here such luminaries such
as Sheryl Crow, Shawn Colvin and Paula Cole perform their numbers in such a purist, traditional "Standards" way which remind me of Linda Ronstadt's recordings with the Nelson Riddle orchestra. Overall, a classy recording which can really hit the spot if you're in the mood for the old big band moody ballads style which can be nice to lie back and listen to on a cool dark night.

A true musical approach to feminism (4/5.04/5.04/5.04/5.04/5.0)
Review written by Anthony (rainbowdragon84@hotmail.com) from Syracuse, NY, USA, June 1st, 2005

This CD and it's various artists look very interesting. It seems to be a musical approach on feminism. I give a thank you not only for Stevie Nicks, but also to Shawn Colvin, Gwen Stefani, Sheryl Crow, and the other artists that are featured. Kudos to the ladies for contributing to a very moving and worthwhile CD. It definitely recieves my seal of approval. 4 stars (****) and 2 thumbs way up!! May other artists contribute to other musical compilations that stand for good causes. (PS Also check out the GLAAD Awards CD.)

Mellow and timeless classics are redone beautifully by contemparary artists! From Stevie Nicks to Gwen Stafani, each brings a new vantage point and breathes her own life into it. Wonderful and tasteful, a great addition to any CD colletion of music lovers.

It was fun to listen to (3/5.03/5.03/5.03/5.03/5.0)

I enjoyed listening to this CD and trying to guess who is singing the songs without looking at the CD. I picked this gem up at the GoodWill Thrift store in San Antonio. The sultry voices get you in the mood to make some romance.

A Wonderful Album (5/5.05/5.05/5.05/5.05/5.0)

I work in an upscale chiropractor's office, and my co-worker and I decided to throw "Stormy Weather" 1999 into the cd player. We have listened to it over and over for 2 weeks, and we're still not tired of it. It sets the mood for a relaxing office visit for our patients!
